My Pregnancy Diary – Part 3

Welcome back to Part 3 of my (throwback) pregnancy diary.

If you need to, you’ll find Part 1 and Part 2 here.

Date of entry: 29 January 2013 (18wks)

Can’t believe I haven’t touched base for over a month.

Well, we’ve had Christmas which was excellent and new year which was relaxing. I had an extended break from work but it didn’t seem long enough. Being back at work has felt like one long, continuos slog!! Can’t think of any other way to put it.

Let me go back to happier thoughts. It’s just after 10.30pm and I’m lying in bed feeling my belly which is getting rounder by the day but is still not big with an obvious ‘bump’. It’s Daddy’s birthday today and it’s been a low key but nice one. I got home from work to bake a marble cake only to discover that there was only one egg – recipe calls for 3! Oh well.

So back to baby, I’ve shared our news with more friends and family over the past month. Telling my baby sis on Christmas Day was extra special. Her reaction was priceless and it was a lovely moment. (I gave her a card saying “Merry Christmas Aunty, see you in the summer”.)

Another highlight for me was hearing the Little Bubba’s heartbeat on 15th Jan. words cannot describe the elation I felt. It was truly an amazing experience.

I remember calling the Hubby, then my Mum, then sisters (in that order) to share the news. As it was an early appointment, they were all busy when I called. Thankfully, one sister was able to speak to me briefly.

This month has flown by, mostly due to how busy work has been I guess. I had a meeting with the HR Manager a few days ago so I’m thinking about ‘M-Leave’ and when to take it. Good times. :-)

The next big event is the 20-week scan which is in a mere 10 days or 9 more sleeps. I CAN’T WAIT. And yes, if we can, I’m going to find out Bubbau’s Sex!!!

Everyday I marvel at the awesomeness of God and thank him for his blessings and faithfulness.

Oh yes, how can I leave out my weekend of intense product searching which led me to the Orbit Baby G2 Pram and Basinette set. I have to laugh at the memory of my husband’s reaction when I sent him the link. I’m not going to be a diva and will definitely keep my options open as far as buying things is concerned.

To be continued.

Thanks for stopping by.

MN :-)
